Before you begin creating articles of your own, it is important that you know the basics. Here are several policies I would strongly suggest you at least skim through before creating an article:
- Notability guidelines
- Verificalbility on an Encyclopedia
- Adhering to neutral point-of-view
- Your first article
Those are the four core policies/guidelines that you should read through before creating and/or making a large contribution.
Now that you have (hopefully) got the basic idea of what not to do, let me help you with what to do. First off, you should usually make sure that you use the right style of writing. Even if you are H.G. Wells, it doesn't matter, because these articles are supposed to be encyclopedic. Not the most elaborated, beautiful article, but rather factual, and unbiased information that a college professor could learn something out of. Go ahead and take a look at these articles, as they show examples of what most Wikipedia articles should look like. Pay extra attention to how they are written: Greater Crested Tern, Moe Berg, and Led Zeppelin. All three were a Featured Article (FA) at one time or another.
Once you have the idea what they should read like, you have most of the basic information about articles down. However, you aren't quite to the point of creating articles just yet... wait until about Lesson 4.
Your assignment edit
Create a section under your user adoption subpage (Click "Edit this page" and type ==Lesson 1 - Answer== at the bottom), then, type out an article you think is notable enough. You do not have to cite sources, though I would encourage you to at least look up information, to make sure you have it right.
