Though I've been using Wiki for quite a few years, now, I only started editing in April of 2004.
I'm a software consultant currently living in Pasadena, California. I provide expertise on the implementation of complex billing, pricing and settlement systems for gas and electric distributors and retailers operating in deregulated markets. Most of the pages related to my area of expertise don't seem to need any help; maybe if I get some time in the future I'll lend a hand with some articles on electric and gas billing and settlement.
I'll be spending my time here working on articles related to Central Asia betweed 1800 and World War I. Specifically, I'm planning to focus first on the exploration of Central Asia and secondly on the Great Game. I'm a fan of Peter Hopkirk's books on the area and I'd like to give other of his readers some entries that would be useful when reading his work.
I've also noticed that the Memphis, Tennessee page and those it links to and from need a bit of work, so I'll be working on those too.
Finally, sometime in the future, I'm going to make an effort to add pages about hoaxes and those that perpetrate them.
