About me

I am a paid employee of the Library of Congress, which contains the world's largest collection of law books and legal resources, with strong foreign law and comprehensive United States law collections. We are working to make our holdings, publications, and other resources more accessible to the public by engaging directly with Wikipedia.

I have been at the National Agricultural Library since 2016 as an Associate Director. From 2015 to 2016 I worked at the Law Library of Congress as the Chief of the Digital Resources Division, which increases online access to the Law Library collections, coordinates the Law Library's social media accounts and blog, and works to enhance the customer experience on Congress.gov. Prior to joining the Library of Congress, I served as the Web Director for ED.gov at the U.S. Department of Education for three and a half years. For eight years I served in various digital access roles, including the first social media manager, at the National Archives and Records Administration. I have a Master of Library Science degree and a Master of Arts in History from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and French Studies from the University of Delaware.

Conflict of interest statement

When I am editing Wikipedia as part of my official professional duties, I always strive to strictly abide by Wikipedia's accepted practices on conflicts of interest, neutrality, and notability. Because the educational mission of the Library of Congress is in line with Wikipedia's mission to disseminate knowledge freely, I will not make edits that I do not believe are in accordance with Wikipedia's practices and procedures. Therefore, I will not make substantive edits to articles related to the Library of Congress or the Law Library of Congress as an organization (e.g. Library of Congress or Law Library of Congress), or its personnel. Instead, if I edit articles, they will be to contribute subject matter expertise, for example to improve articles about Library of Congress physical or digital holdings (e.g. THOMAS). The Library of Congress work on Wikipedia is being governed by internal guidelines. If you believe I have made an error or violated Wikipedia’s norms, please do not hesitate to contact me. My email is also listed on this page in case I am not regularly checking my talk page.
