AJay (legal name Aaron Jacob Willms) is a recording artist who specializes in the genres of Pop and R&B. AJay started his music career at the early age of 8 whists in Virginia Park elementary school in his hometown of Edmonton, Alberta. The young AJay in grade 4 attends several musical theaters, acting, and scriptwriting classes. AJay's original goal was to become an actor either on the stage or in front of a camera. At the age of 14, AJay performed in A Mid Summer Nights Dream at the Citadel Theatre, and performed at the age of 15 in the Christmas classic A Christmas Carol. AJay at the time was also performing improv at the theater. Within that year AJay decided he wanted to step out from under the stage lights and move in front of a camera. AJay met Gary Spatz whom he saw as not only an outstanding acting coach but as a mentor. Although AJay was having the time of his life flying in and out of Los Angeles he still yearned for something more. It was at this time that A&R John Degrazio, president of Watersound Entertainment approached him after a singing audition at Canadian Model and Talent Convention in Toronto in May of 2015 and asked if AJay could make singing his number one priority. Without missing a beat AJay said yes then John asked what record label would he want to be signed with. AJay explained to John that it was a dream of his to be signed to Interscope Records and only weeks later AJay had an interview with them. Interscope showed interest in AJay but due to the fact he had only low-quality songs produced by only himself Interscope wanted to wait to hear more updated songs before signing him. It was at this time that an A&R from Interscope suggested AJay should invest into a development team and insisted on meeting with Jason Davis, president on One One 7 Entertainment. AJay is in the process of recording his first album with producers, Mike Mani/ Jordan Omley from The Jam, Jeff Pardo, and T Collar.
