James Patrick Grimaldi (born May 8th, 1968 in Buffalo, New York) is an American Award-winning Filmmaker. Grimaldi started making films at the age of eight. His format of choice was Super 8mm film. Jim graduated from West Seneca East Senior High School in 1896. He attended Daemen College in Buffalo for one year before moving to Columbia College in Chicago. There Jim studied Film and Acting. After graduating Grimaldi returned to Buffalo and started working as a freelance film and video Producer. Abbott Laboratories, Molex Corporation and US Energy became regular corporate clients. But mostly Jim focused on Sports and Rock and Roll Video production. In 1996, Jim recieved a Visions Award from the American Film Institute for his short film "Scheming Young Apache". A poem like song by Mark Freeland featuring Nina Garfinkle and David Bowie Guitarist, Chuck Hammer. Out of neccessity Jim wrote seven feature screenplays and moved out to Los Angeles in hopes of selling one. Instead, he ended up partying like a maniac and after several years returned to Buffalo to start his own Production company. Grimaldi Studio Inc. is his latest venture alongside his brother Dr. Thomas Grimaldi. The New York City based company produces Television Commercials, Music Videos, and feature documentaries.
