Beijing Longboard Marathon is a series of longboard racing events held in Beijing, China. Organized by the Beijing Extreme Sports Association’s Longboard Committee, this annual event has gained recognition as a premier longboarding competition in Asia. With closed race course and automatic timing system, the event adheres international standards and safety protocols and is sanctioned by SkateIDSA[1].

The inaugural Beijing Longboard Marathon took place in 2019 at Dongjiao Wetland Park in Shunyi, Beijing. The event featured two races: a 7 km mini-marathon[2] and a 42.5 km full marathon[3]. Over 100 participants from various countries and regions, including the United States, Brazil, Singapore, and Taiwan, competed. Legendary distance longboarders such as Jeff Vyain, Joe Mazzone, and Andy Andras were among the contenders. The event garnered media coverage from Beijing Television and other mass media outlets[4] [5].
2020

The second edition of the Beijing Longboard Marathon was held at Chaoyang Wuliqiao Park. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, it remained one of the few longboard events to take place that year. Although the race was scaled down to fewer than 100 participants, it retained its status as the largest longboard marathon of its kind. The event expanded its categories to encourage broader participation, including the mini-marathon[6], half marathon[7], and full marathon (both solo and team relay)[8].
2023

After a two-year hiatus, the 3rd Beijing Longboard Marathon returned with renewed energy. Held at the Jingang International Racetrack, this was an upgrade edition, with FILA FUSION and Foxit Software as sponsors, cash prize and professional shooting team[9].
The race course is a 2.5 km length (through pit zone) formula 3 racetrack with downhills, uphills, and U turns. It is considered more challenging than the previous forest park courses[10].
More categories were open in the mini marathon, including longboard, surf-skate, free-line skate, and scooter. Totals 79 racers finished the mini marathon[11].
47 racers completed the full marathon, Yunhui Qing won the open category and set a track record of 1 hour and 46 minutes[12].
