Animalis a 2023 Indian Hindi-language crime-drama film produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under T-Series Films in collaboration with Bhadrakali Pictures and Cine1 Studios. It is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and stars Ranbir Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in lead roles along with Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. It is scheduled to be theatrically released worldwide on 11 August 2023.

Plot

A gangster drama that explores the turbulent relationships between all the characters that eventually lead to the protagonist becoming an 'animal' in nature.

Production

The film is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under T-Series Films in collaboration with Bhadrakali Pictures and Cine1 Studios. The announcement of the film was made on New Year, 2021.

The film was earlier planned for a Dussehra 2022 release, but was later shifted to 2023. It is currently is pre-production stage and filming will begin by mid-2022.

Casting

Ranbir Kapoor is likely to play an intense and dark character in Animal. In the announcement video of the film, the actor talked about his character’s troubled relationship with his father, which ended in gunshots.

Parineeti was signed on to play the lead opposite Ranbir and Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol were signed in other prominent roles.
