As matriarch of the Logan family she is mother to four children she raised on her own after her husband, Stephen Logan walked out on her, which caused her to raise their four children: Storm, Brooke, Donna and Katie Logan. Before she met Stephen, she dated Brooke and Donna's former husband Eric Forrester who even proposed to her. However, Eric was supposed to end the engagement in order to commit to his on-off wife Stephanie Forrester that was already expecting his eldest son Ridge Forrester. Beth has never been able to forget about Eric and curses Stephanie for stealing him by using her pregnancy. She also had to handle Eric's affair with her eldest daughter and appeared bothered by the fact that her true love fell for her kid.

First appearance

edit

Beth Henderson Logan is introduced in 1987, during a incident that occurred with her daughter, Brooke Logan , as she was almost attacked by unknown assailants. Brooke only first told her brother and sisters what had happened and never dared to tell her mother. Brooke said "she had enough on her plate" at the time. She was also introduced during, Katie, (her daughter)'s first boyfriend, Rocco Carner, as she kept Donna's secret that she didn' know who Rocco was and that she just met him at the Los Angeles library while she was studying. She was also seen as a caterer preparing a dinner party with her daughter Brooke at the Forrester Mansion. Even though she bears a grudge against Stephanie Forrester she remains polite and acts like a professional. She intends to be unnoticed and expects the same thing from her daughter who attempts to get close to every Forrester family member she meets. Claiming that they are here to "serve not to socialize", she asks her to back off.

Beth reconnected with Eric

edit

After noticing each other during the event, Eric and Beth often meet accidentally. In the course of time, both acknowledge their attraction to each other and begin an affair which is totally disapproved by Beth's son Storm. Unfortunately, Beth finds out that she has breast cancer and starts rejecting Eric instead of telling him the truth. Eric eventually discovers it and wants to support her, but he is soon threatened by the return of Beth's former husband Steven who is hired by Stephanie in order to ruin Beth and Eric's relationship.

Reconciliation with Stephen

edit

Stephen and Beth are capable of working things out and move to Paris. Years later, Steven returns to L.A. without his wife since she asks for the divorce again. She is upset with Stephen because he helped Stephanie Forrester and Massimo Marone (who turns out to be Ridge's biological father) acting as though he was seriously ill in order to lure Brooke to Paris, so that she is not able to pursuit Ridge any longer. Obviously, both - Queen Stephanie and Tycoon Massimo - have offered him a generous amount of money. However Stephen, could not expect that Brooke's stay in France may lead to troubles: Due to an obtrusive French admirer, Brooke falls from the Eiffel Tower, but fortunately, she is not badly injured. After finding out about that incidence, Beth freaks out and exposes Stephanie, Massimo and Stephen. She also makes sure that Brooke and Ridge find out about Taylor Hayes Forrester's (Ridge's wife) involvement in this manipulative plan. From her perspective, Stephen only wanted the money in order to compete with the rich Eric Forrester. In spite of this story, she gives him another chance, but in 2006, Stephen returns claiming that Beth has turned her back on him because she still has feelings for Eric.

Death

edit

Beth returned in June 2008 after the death of Storm. Two years later she died, on April 16, 2010, after a battle against Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
