Self Introduction:
Hi my name is Jennifer Ra, and I am currently a junior, majoring in biology at Washington University in St. Louis. I am originally from the Boston area, but recently moved to Orange County, CA. I have done immunology research on the medical campus, researching the activation of B cells, but now have transitioned into a qualitative study looking into the quality of life of patients affected by lupus. I guess breaking away from the academic part of me, some of my interests include photography, traveling, and running. In fact, this past April, I completed my first marathon, and have the goal of qualifying for the Boston Marathon sometime in the future. My next challenge that I have for myself is my first triathlon, which I hope to be able to participate in this upcoming spring... the main problem is my swimming... but hopefully that will get better.
