Jenanne
editHi, I saw your edit summary here. Nothing to worry about, but per WP:SOCK#LEGIT can you clarify the relation between the two accounts? Is it the case that you lost the password for the old account and simply created a new account which you are now using? If that is the case, you could simply redirect the old account to this one so that in the unlikely event of anyone wanting to ask about any editing under the old account they reach the right editor. - Hi Mjroots: You asked me to clarify the relation between my two accounts: Jenanne (old) and JAHelg (current). Since I use a different password on every web account I have, and make them hard to guess or even for me to remember, when I misplaced (i.e. lost) my old Wiki password I couldn't log on and I couldn't figure out a way to create a new password for the Jenanne account. I decided it wasn't such a bad thing to need a new account name since I could make the name gender neutral. I'm only using the current account. I'm sorry that this was against the rules -- I should have asked for advice. Is there a way to combine my edits in my new account? If not, no biggie. Thank you! JAHelg (talk) 20:46, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
- (I've copied your post over for clarity) Thanks for that explanation. From what you say, you've done nothing wrong as both accounts were editing at different times. You could have used the facility to request a new password if you still had the e-mail account linked to that username, but it doesn't really matter now. I'll sort out the redirect from the old account to new account for you. Mjroots (talk) 20:55, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
- As you haven't created a user page yet, I've redirected both User:Jenanne and User talk:Jenanne to this talk page. Mjroots (talk) 20:59, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
