I've trained in soft matter physics in the Manoharan and Weitz labs at Harvard. My most recent academic project as a postdoc in the Weitz group was microfluidics for making collagen drops/gels encapsulating stem cell spheroids for differentiation to brain organoids. My collaborator, Alison O'Neil, taught me that these organoids might be useful as models to screen for cures for neurodegenerative and psychiatric diseases.
