- I am a classically trained Systems Engineer and specialize in materials, functional decomposition of things into their basic building blocks, then rebuilding them (making sure not to have any pieces leftover).
- I believe in the objectivity of an online encyclopedia. I grew up with several encyclopedias such as Brittanica, World Book, DK, Merck manuals and indices, and my Dad, "the walking encyclopedia", hence my semi-participation. I'd like to participate more and intend to.
- I am proud to say that I have a vintage set of Encyclopedia Britannica along with its subsequent Year Books. I'm willing to bet no one else on Wikipedia can claim this. [1]
- I will probably remove something from an unverified blog or nonobjective source, especially if it refers to something difficult to quantify.
- Since I browse the wiki frequently, I will also probably remove sensationalism or politically themed or faddish remarks
