Biography edit

Police and Crime Commissioner edit

Orphen-Smellie stood in the 2021 election for Norfolk Police and Crime Commissioner, which he won on 8 May 2021, taking office on 13 May.[1]

In February 2023, Orphen-Smellie stated that police officers such as David Carrick, a London police officer who was a serial rapist, "tarnish[ed] the reputation" of police officers everywhere, and that in response he would be "going hunting for those officers that don't live up to the high standards, not just [that] Norfolk's Constabulary expects, but Norfolk's public expects of its police force."[2]
