Why I'm Here edit
Saving the introductions I'll dive right into this section. Wikipedia has always been a valuable resource for me. Instead of having to try and search multiple different sources and verify the neutrality and authenticity of them, Wikipedia through volunteers brings all that information together and basis articles on fact, not bias which helps me find reliable information.
I've been participating in online communities for a while now mostly on the Stack Exchange Network, a collection of 170+ Q&A sites, of which I am on all of them.(My Profile) as well as others such as Quora and Yahoo! Answers
Wikipedia has always been something I've used throughout school and indeed my life. It is such a massive project and such an important one also. With the rise in fake news, social media and all sorts of sources, it's difficult to know what's true and what's false. That's why Wikipedia is unique. It brings all the world's information together in an ever-expanding encyclopedia of knowledge which has given to so many, myself included. That's why I want to give back, that's what brought me to this site yesterday; brings me here today; and will continue to bring me here for the rest of my tomorrows.
What I do here edit
As with many of the online communities I'm on, most of my work focuses on maintenance. I often look through Wikipedia:Maintenance to see where I can help. I don't have a specific task I like to do, I just see what's there and work through it. Although I don't dedicate much time to the project, I still like the ability to contribute when I can. Wikipedia has a certain writing style which is very particular, so doing this can improve my writing skills, which is always a bonus when you're a writer.
I also look through pages where I do have some knowledge to see if I can edit them. However, I prefer my work in the background, holding the site up along with the many, many other volunteers from all around the world which come to help support this great project.

I'm a freelance writer offering a vast array of writing, transcribing and data entry services. Since I was 8 I founded a love for writing and I've kept that throughout my life and will always have that with me. I also share short stories, another one of my childhood loves. I'm also passionate about mental health blogging in the area on my own site and others. Since I started suffering myself with mental health I've worked tirelessly to help others going through the same things I have. Mental health is such an important issue to me, so I may frequent the posts right here on the Wiki.
Outside Work edit
Outside my laptop, I generally spend most of my time in the online communities mentioned above. Although I do have a life outside my laptop which usually involves gardening, walking and being sat on by my cat.
