Ruth Connell is a Scottish Actress born in Falkirk. Granddaughter of Bonnybridge Juniors Managing Director Ruby Connell (now deceased), Daughter of ex Falkirk, East Stirlinghshire and Stenhousemuir Football Coach and Manager, David Connell. She grew up on a Farm outside Bonnybridge. After attending local dance classes she soon showed an aptitude for Ballet and subsequently did classes with The Scottish Ballet's Vocational Scheme in Glasgow. This lead to playing the young lead role of Clara in The Nutcracker for Scottish Ballet at the Theatre Royal in Glasgow and also winning the Scottish Junior Ballet Championships and then the Scottish Senior Ballet Championships in Helensburgh. Her film debut was in the short "Soldiers Leap" with Billy Boyd and Rupert Graves directed by Robert Cavanah. She later trained as an Actor at Rose Bruford College in London after a successful dance career and was 'Critics Choice' for her Graduation Showcase. Lead roles in Scottish Theater including the CATS Nominated Faust at Edinburgh Royal Lyceum and in Alex Norton's "No Mean City" at The Glasgow Citizen's Theatre. No 1 Tours in the UK followed as well for The Oxford Stage Company (now Headlong) as well as National Voice Over campaigns for the Scottish Government.

After filming the sitcom "Above Their Station" with Denis Lawson, Rhys Thomas, Andrew Brooke and Simon Day, Ruth made the move to LA in November 2010.

Already having had two Feature Film credits in the US for Meth Head and A Perfect Ending, she has been cast as a lead in the Short "Reason" for award winning Bayberry Films.

Currently developing a Web Series called John & Jane with Pepe Balderama, she has also been accepted as a BAFTA Newcomer to LA for 2011. Currently filming the Feature "Folklore" for Justin Calen Chenn in Los Angeles California as well as creating content for the Composer Stephen Endelman's C i Care internet show.
