The boy-scouts – Federation of the boy-scouts Baden-Powell of Belgium, or simply « Scouts », previously called Federation of catholic scouts than Catholic federation of Scouts Baden-Powel of Belgium, is the most important scouts’association in French and German speaking Belgium. It’s a federation open to everyone. Her last name change, on September 1st, 2008, entendsto reflect at best its commitment for a spiritual development open to all.

It was created in 1912 and has been part of the Guiding association and scouting in Belgium. It has for model Baden Powell, is recognized by the world organization of the Scout Association (WMO), as well as by the ministry of the Youth of the French Community of Belgium.

The scouting movement appeared in 1910 in Belgium with the creation of the first pluralist association of Belgian Boys-scouts. In 1912, a catholic association was created in turn. At the beginning, this association gathered French-speakers scouts as well as Flemish-speakers scouts. From 1929, catholic scouts will be divided into two associations : the federation of catholic scouts for French-speakers and the Vlaams Verbond der Katholieke Scouts (VVKS) for the Flemish-speakers
