Introduction
editHi, I'm Jenn. I'm technically pursuing a degree in biology, but have enough disparate interests to be studying bits and pieces from all over. Most of them serve as inspiration for fiction writing, in one form or another.
Personal Life

My family currently resides in Newmarket, Ontario, just a short jaunt north of Toronto. Or that's the central location, at least, when we're not scattered to the four winds. My career goals are not quite as scattered, but still a bit all over. I've an interest in doing the following - at various points, not simultaneously:
- Write fiction professionally
- Practice forensic pathology
- Write non-fiction articles
My household has a number of cats, two of whom are pictured to the right.
Education and Academic Career
editI'm a current student at the University of Guelph[1]. I have been for a while. I'm a little bit sad that "scholar" isn't the world's most viable career path.
Hobbies
editI have a lot. Especially:
- Writing
- Reading (I prefer fiction over non-fiction, but enjoy both)
- Hiking
- Motorcycle riding
- Embroidery
- Video games (Especially RPGs)
Genres
editMy preferred genres - for fiction writing and reading, and for video games - tend to be fantasy and science fiction. I have a special place in my heart for steampunk. I'm not an especial fan of romance - subplots are fine, but I find it boring and fairly derivative as a main plotline.
