Tha Real Indo was born as Derrick Jackson in Los Angeles, CA in 1976. Growning up in an area where everything about Hip-Hop culture was begining including crack, gangs, and rap music. This young man was born and raised to be a star and a survivor against all odds. After witnessing dozens of murders and drug transactions in the streets of Los Angeles and gaining popularity through being a number one athelete. Indo began to introduce himself to the rap scene by rapping over 8 track tapes at his grandmothers house. In 1992 Indo began to collaborate with his blood cousin SLIP CAPONE. In 1994 Indo moved to San Leandro, CA where he began to work with Souls of Mischief ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Souls_of_Mischief), E40[[1]], B-Legit [[2]], a host of producers and had his first interaction with Tupac Shakur [Shakur]. After about a year in the bay area. Indo went back to Southern California for about 2 weeks before begining his journey to Atlanta, GA with a group of friends.

When Indo returned to california he started to be produced by Eric Borders who produced songs off of the orignal chronic cd with Dr. Dre, DJ Sylk, and Clever. At this time he started to work with the dogg pound, Xzibit and all west coast artist. In late 1998 he was noticed by label representatives from FEVER Records [Records]owned by Sal Abbatiello. This is when his Career began to peak. Performing at shows with Shaquille O'Neal, A Tribe Called Quest, Pink, Blue Cantrell, B-Legit and the Mossie, Scarface, Redman, The WuTang Clan, Funk Master Flex and Sway and Techs "Wake Up Show".
