Clara Mayer (born 2001[1]) is a german environmental activist. She was the press speaker for Fridays for Future Berlin[2] and is known for her speech at the Volkswagen shareholders meeting in 2019[1].

Early life

Clara Mayer got her highschool diploma in 2019[3]. She currently lives in Berlin[1].

Activism

As a press speaker for Fridays for Future, she was a guest in various talkshows as well as giving interviews to various press and media companies.

Mayer was a plaintiff in a courtcase against VW, together with the two Greenpeace directors, Martin Kaiser and Roland Hipp, to prohibit VW to manufacture more combustion engines after 2029[4]. This lawsuite was rejected by the Landgericht Braunschweig (district court of Brunswick) in 2023[5].
