Language is a highly structured way of expressing our thoughts, giving names to all sorts of groups of objects and concepts. It is probably one of the greatest inventions of humanity, too, as it can bring several people to understanding, even if they might have opposing views to begin with, thus able to prevent physical dispute.

But language, as a way of expressing thought, has its inconveniences, notably the fact that we can talk about different things while labelling them the same. Ignosticism is a way to question yourself as well as the language you use to realize the futility of dogma, when it comes to concepts which are hard to define and which every person defines differently for themselves.

My username reflects not which category of people I belong to, as I am in a bad position to objectively define myself, but rather an ideal of an intellectual and practical position towards which I try to tend. In a similar manner, philosophers are not people who have managed to acquire a certain degree of wisdom, but those who have never ceased looking for it.
