Hello. My name is John Carazak and I'm a Network Administrator and IT Consultant for a Fortune 500 company. My hobbies include game design, Asian and Italian cuisines and writing/researching.

I'm an old lurker and anonymous contributor to Wikipedia but I've recently decided to get a member account and help out. I spend a large amount of my time researching software solutions and fixing problems on my corporate intranet as well as dealing with the constant day to day problems that managing over 3000 user accounts can bring.

Current Wikipedia Project edit

Fixing up articles on corporate intranet management solutions and adding additional information on the current solutions. Improving as many different facets of the articles on these topics as possible. Many oft he articles here seem to focus on the censorware side of things, whilst still failing to properly cover the network management side.

While I agree that censorship is an issue, I'm not sure it's completely applicable when it comes to corporate intranet where corporate bandwidth, time and wages are being spent. I'm very much an advocate against government and educational censorship, but I believe that a workplace has every right to control the intranet they pay so dearly for.
