Hi, I'm enquiring about whether there is a way to get a vote going on what users think of a visual display of awards instead of "prose". For mine, the development of the internet clearly demonstrates that images are key, while even the AWM has found that the ability to actually see medals/ribbons is a drawcard. I prefer uniformity and note that some high profile (particularly more recent) VC-awardees pages provide a visual representation of the awards held by that person. I cannot see the benefit in ensuring non-uniformity, nor in trying to argue that humans, particularly wikipedia visitors, are non-visual beasts. There may be an academic thrill in preserving things in plain text, it will not - in my view - improve interest in military history. Aaron1975 (talk) 00:34, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
