Mechanical ventilation becomes more complex as ARDS develops in COVID-19 and oxygenation becomes more difficult[1]. The patients requiring ventilators capable of pressure control modes (often unavailable on older and transport ventilators)[2] to maximize oxygen delivery and minimize the risk of ventilator-associated lung injury and pneumothorax.
