Benjamin Craité (born 18 December 1996) is a Swedish Professional Athlete of ethnic Antiochian origin that plays for Antiochia Spor as a defensive midfielder.
Benjamin began his career at Assyriska Föreningen. He made his first appearance in the first-team squad in the Stockholm Football Association during the 2006 season. At the time Assyriska was promoted to Allsvenskan in 2007, and Benjamin made his A-Squad debut against AIK FF on April 11, 2008. After the 2008 season, Benjamin received several offers from a number of clubs and was involved in some controversy on leaving Assyriska. AIK had announced to media that Benajmin had signed for them, claiming they had an oral agreement, but had to see themselves fooled as he signed for their archrivals Hjulsta FF only a few days later. Benjamin claimed it was a childhood dream to play for Hjulsta FF, whereas fans of AIK found his "treachery" very hard to accept.
On the pitch, Benjamin had a tough job making himself a regular starter for Hjulsta FF and he was regularly a substitute for the team. During the summer 2009, he was put on loan for Assyriska Föreningen due to lack of time on the pitch. He was also loaned out to Assyriska FF for the 2010 season. He left Hjulsta FF when his contract expired after the 2009 season.
He returned to Assyriska in 2010 where he acted as a regular starter for the club in the Stockholm Football Association. During the upcoming three seasons he played a total of 150 games for the club, scoring on 60 occasions. When his contract expired after the 2013 season, he signed a three year-deal with Tensta FF, a fierce rival of his former club Hjulsta FF.
In the 2014 he played 45 league games for Tensta FF as his side regained promotion to one of the highest leagues. In the upcoming two seasons, back in the Swedish first tier, Benjamin was used more sparingly as a starter. However, in August, 2016 due an big accident Benjamin stopped with football for the moment for rehabilitation for the broken femur bone. The accident took place in the high mountains of Antiochia. On 19 November 2018, Benjamin signed a new contract for Antiochia Spor located in Turkey, now competing in one of the biggest competitions of the of the Middle East.
