Between 2020 and 2022, four eruptions have occurred on the main crater of Taal, an active volcano in Batangas, Philippines. The volcano is situated about 50 kilometers (31 mi) south of the capital city of Manila and filled by a lake of the same name.

In early 2019, the Taal Volcano Network (TVN) of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) detected signs of an unrest in the volcano, prompting PHIVOLCS to issue an alert level over Taal. Seismicity went on for the rest of 2019 and continued in 2020. The first eruption lasted for more than a week, taking place on January 12–22, 2020. It had a Volcanic Explosivity Index (VEI) of 4, making it the largest volcanic eruption in the Philippines in the 21st century to date. It was followed by two smaller eruptions in 2021, taking place on July 1–9 and November 15–22, respectively, and one eruption in 2022, which is ongoing as of March 31, 2022.
