Phil Hodgkinson
editPhil Hodgkinson is an English businessman who is currently the chairman and owner of Championship football club Huddersfield Town.
Career
editHe is the chief executive and founder of the PURE Business Group, which has served as the main shirt and sleeve sponsor of Huddersfield Town.[1]
He joined the board of directors at Southport Football Club on 5 September 2017.[citation needed]
Southport confirmed his departure from the role of Director and shareholder on 3 May 2019. His shares in the club were sold to Southport supporters Ian Kyle, Liam Watson and club manager Steven Porter.[2] Hodgkinson left to become chairman and majority shareholder of Huddersfield Town, taking over from Dean Hoyle, with the club recently relegated from the Premier League. The sale saw Hodgkinson take a 75% controlling stake in the club, with Hoyle retaining a minority share.[3]
He has an estimated net worth of £475m.[citation needed]

editHe is a lifelong supporter of Huddersfield Town, stating that "Huddersfield Town is in my blood and has always been one of my greatest passions".[3]
