‘’’Ernest Everett Wood’’’ (July 24, 1876-July 20, 1955) was an American educator. He was the founding principal of Tamalpais High School, in Mill Valley, California, serving for 37 years. He was also one of the founders of Marin County’s junior college, the College of Marin.

In July 1906, after being appointed principal of Gridley High School, Wood married his Auburn High School classmate, Mabel Elizabeth Coddington. Coddington had won a Levi Strauss scholarship and attended the University of California with Wood, graduating in 1904.
