Son Na-eun (Korean: 손나은; Japanese: ソン・ナウン?; born February 10, 1994), better known by her stage name Naeun (나은), is a South Korean idol singer and actress. She is a member of South Korean girl group A Pink under A Cube Entertainment.[1]

Son Na-eun (손나은), was born in Seoul, South Korea on February 10, 1994[2]. She has a younger sister, Son Se-eun, who is a professional golfer. [citation needed]

She attended Apgujung High School and later transferred to Seoul Performing Arts High School, from which she graduated on February 7, 2013. She was accepted into Dongguk University to major in drama and film in 2013. [3] In 2014, she started attending the school and later was chosen as Dongguk University ambassador along with other famous student and alumni such as Girls Generation members Yoona and Seohyun. [4]

Before debut she was featured in label mate Beast's "Breath", "Beautiful" and "I Like You The Best" music videos in late 2010.[5][6] After that she also had more music video appearances. She appeared in label mate Huh Gak's "The Person Who Once Loved Me" and "It Hurts" music videos in 2012 as well as in SPEED's "Sad Promise" and "It's Over" music videos in 2013 [7][8][9][10][11].

Na-eun debuted as a TV actress in the historical drama The Great Seer after a small role in Salamander Guru and The Shadows, both in 2012.[12]. She acted with Beast member Yoon Doo-joon and ZE:A's Kwang-hee for her first movie role in "Marrying the Mafia 5: Return of The Family" (2012). She got her first major role in JTBC's drama Childless Comfort, which aired from October 2012, as Oh Soo-mi.[13]. For that role, she was nominated for the Best Actress award on the 6th Korea Drama Awards and the Popular TV Actress award on the 49th Baeksang Arts Awards. [14][15]

In 2013, Son Na-Eun portrayed Tae Gong-sil, the lead female role, in the SBS short film The Miracle, a parody of SBS' dramas Master's Sun and The Heirs.[16][17]

Variety Show

In April 2013, A Cube Entertainment confirmed that Son would be joining the MBC series We Got Married with SHINee's Taemin as a virtual married couple.[18] They replaced the previous virtual idol couple, ZE:A's Hwang Kwanghee and Secret's Sunhwa on the show. They filmed their first encounter together at Jeju Island in "Café Seoyeon's House" from the movie Architecture 101. Taemin and her were nominated for the Best Couple award on the MBC Entertainment Awards 2013[19]. She also received a nomination for the New Female Variety Star award and the Star of the Year award, winning the latter one. [20]They ended their virtual marriage in early January 2014.

Endorsement with Apink

Son Na-eun has also been a model for cosmetic brand Peripera since 2013. In 2014, she was chosen as the ambassador for sportswear brand M-Limited together with fellow band mate Jung Eun-ji and ZE:A's Yim Si-wan.[21][22]
