I do not see any new updates to this page, but I think it is a great candidate for expansion through this course. There is already a small section on the ecology of anchialine pools, that I think can be further expanded with scholarly references on the microbes that live here and the chemical, thermal, and redox conditions they must adapt to in order to survive in this environment.

I can also see potential for sub-sections on the geologic formation of anchialine pools, the timescale over which they develop, and even cultural significance to indigenous communities that live near them or travelers that visit them, (as is the case for cenotes).

After revisiting this page, I have a few extra comments for review.

First off, I think this is a great topic! Doing a quick comparison between the current live Wikipedia page and the edits that y'all have made so far shows that you have added a lot of great material so far.

I really like the extensive info on the geologic settings of these phenomena; my suggestion might be to reframe the section heading to "Geologic Formation" or something along those lines, only because the three subsections all seem to be related to the geologic processes that lead to the formation of them.

I also think y'all have done an incredible job with the ecology section - it's super extensive! It does feel a bit dense for a Wikipedia page, so maybe splitting things a bit more into sub-sections might be useful for readers who might be skimming and looking for more specific information (think of the way you use Wikipedia ... might just be me but I often use it as a tool to extract specific information about a major topic and then go to the references from there).

Overall I think this is great progress on the page! Of course, there are some areas where the references need to be formatted so they are superscripts and accessible by link, but that should be a pretty quick fix. Vmoreno11 (talk) 07:57, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
