Marianna Aprile (born May 3, 1976 in Bari, Italy) is an Italian journalist, writer, commentator, radio host, and television host. She is the editor-in-chief of the weekly magazine Oggi.

Biography

After graduating from high school with a classical diploma, she graduated with honors in anthropology from the University of Rome La Sapienza in 1997. The following year, she wrote a small article for a magazine in a small town in Puglia, and in 2000 she joined Novella 2000. In 2008, she began collaborating with the weekly magazine Oggi, moving from political writer to editor-in-chief, a position she currently holds.

During the summer of 2014, she hosted the program "Millennium" on Rai Radio 3, and two years later, in 2016, she was a recurring guest on the political talk show "Otto e mezzo."

In 2019, she published her first book, "Il grande inganno," published by Piemme. In 2021, she was a recurring guest on "In onda," a political TV program broadcast on LA7, and co-hosted the program "Forrest" on Rai Radio 1 with Luca Bottura.

Starting August 1, 2022, she will co-host the summer version of "In onda" on LA7 with Luca Telese, replacing the team of David Parenzo and Concita De Gregorio for the month of August.

She has been at the center of much criticism for some statements made about Rula Jebreal, who refused to participate in a television broadcast, on the grounds that she was the only woman invited.
