Grant Raymond Barrett (performer, writer and composer) - born 1968 - graduate from the University of Michigan - collects, researches and archives vintage holiday songs, stories and poems. He has created holiday shows and made numerous recordings which incorporate this special material that has often been forgotten and almost entirely lost.
At first, Mr. Barrett compiles and organizes particular pieces to form a skeletal outline, then he writes a script to weave all of the musical and narrative material together in a fun and entertaining way that wil be interesting for his listeners. Then, he arranges, records and engineers all the musical accompaniments to be used during the performances. It is his goal to bring new life to these vintage pieces, that would have, otherwise, ended up in a dusty attic and eventually been thrown away, by making sure he performs them in front of live audiences.
