George William Poynter is an English Football Player, He plays for West Ham United. He come from the same West Ham youth academy which brought Rio Ferdinand, Joe Cole and Mark Noble. His nickname is "PC" Poynter.
Biography
editHe was born in Greenwich, London on 7 April 1992. Aged five, George joined Charlton Manor Primary School. He got scouted playing for his school football team and signed a pre-contract on his 11th birthday. He left Charlton Manor at the age of 11 and went to John Roan Secondary School.
He is currently in 6th form at John Roan school and he is in the middle of doing his A Levels.
Career
editGeorge signed a youth contract in the summer of 2008. The promising defender has featured in all of England's under 16 matches this year He has been dubbed the next Matthew Upson.
Personal Life
editGeorge is currently living at home with his parents, his older brother and his younger sister in their family home in Eltham, London. He is currently single at the moment.
