The whodunits in the series are set in 1940s-1950s and takes the reader through Europe and Asia - notably England and the British Raj in India in the first 3 books. The protagonist is a young aristocratic English woman in her early 20s - Rachel Markham who teams up with a retired Scotland Yard Inspector, namely Jeremy Richards to unravel homicide cases.

Book 1 - 'Murder at Rutherford Hall' opens with Rachel Markham and Jeremy Richards trying to get to the bottom of Lord Rutherford's mysterious murder. The story is set in the English countryside and takes the reader through a multitude of twists and turns and red herrings before the case is unraveled.

Book 2 - 'Murder at Ravenrock' is set in the picturesque town of Dartmouth in Devon, where a retired Judge's family is the target of a homicidal maniac. Rachel and Jeremy find themselves embroiled neck deep in the investigation and eventually find themselves in danger before the killer is brought to light.

Book 3 - 'The Riverton Case' opens with a long sea voyage to India and finally culminates in the royal palace of a wealthy Maharajah, where Miss Kitty Riverton was found murdered in 1945. In their attempt to solve an crime that has remain unsolved for over two years, Rachel and Jeremy find themselves embroiled in the murky labyrinth of palace politics.

More about the Author; More about the Author; PB Kolleri (born 1973) is an author of Anglo-Indian origin. She had an international corporate career up until the whodunits she penned became global bestsellers. The success of the Rachel Markham Series catapulted her to becoming an author of note with a massive readership.
