Khalkhabad
editKhalkhabad (Uzbek: Xalqobod/Халқобод, Russian: Халкабад. English: Khalkhabad) is a urban-type settlement located in Yangiyul region in Uzbekistan. It was established in 1950s in the times of USSR by Usman Yusupov. It covers an area of 5 km² . The settlement is covered with two canals: Bozsuv and Tashkent-Northern Channel. Hydroelectric Power Plant "GES-19" of Bozsuv channel is situated in the Khalkhabad.
