Simon's Story ... Simon's Story is a work of fiction by

Author Buff Brazy Given. The story opens with a rainy

Wednesday evening in October when a curious drama

unfolds in a quiet corner of the UCLA campus. A five year-old boy is

caught up in events swirling around his father, Dr. Simon Kyser - a

brilliant nanotechnology DNA researcher at the University Biotech

Research Institute. A bizarre episode of scientific espionage aimed at

Dr. Kyser’s highly secret, ground-breaking revolutionary biotech

research devolves into a swirl of bribery and corruption, followed by

attempted murder, mayhem and kidnapping.

Unfolding over a seven day period, “Simon’s Story” begins when Dr.

Grace Tooley finds young Simon drenched and alone in the middle of a

downpour in a UCLA parking lot. In concert with her colleagues Dr.

Wesley Brown - head of the University Psychiatric Institute, and Dr.

Anton Kristov — head of the University Biotech Research Institute,

Grace works to unravel what quickly becomes a web of deceit As

events heat up, the two disciplines of psychiatry and biotech are

forced to converge. People who otherwise would have no need to

interact find themselves caught up in the fast moving events for

which solutions and motivations must be found and understood.

Billions of dollars of potential pharmaceutical sales AND the life of a

little boy are at stake.

Intertwined with the tense drama pitting ruthless shadowy foreign

interests against brilliant university researchers and health

professionals is a surprising love story that builds between Drs Grace

Tooley and Wesley Brown. Professional colleagues for many years,

they awkwardly stumble into a tender and life-affirming relationship

that blossoms in the midst of the intense chaos that threatens to

overwhelm their lives as they work together to save young Simon and

his broken family.
