In his capacity as the Principal Secretary, he serves on the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) Board. |
He is a statistician and research professional, holding a Bachelor's degree in Statistics and a Master’s degree in Biometry both from the University of Nairobi, and a Doctor of Philosophy PhD in Applied Statistics from Maseno University in Kenya.
Dr. Omollo has a wealth of experience, running over 16 years, in research skills and managerial positions.
Previously, he has worked in the non-profit Research and Development organizations and management industry with a keen focus in Data Management, Statistical Data Analysis, Epidemiology, and Statistical Modeling.
These include:
i. Head of Data Center and Statistician at Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi) Africa.
ii. Board Member and Chair, Credit and Finance Committee as well as the Risk and Compliance Committee at Consolidated Bank of Kenya.
iii. Research fellow and adjunct lecturer at the Centre for Research in Therapeutic Sciences (CREATES) and School of Mathematics Sciences, Strathmore University, Nairobi.
Prior to his appointment, he served as the Managing Director of the Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA) from 2019.
