Introduction
editGladius latin for sword and is part of the phrase Spiritus Gladius ...
Spiritus Gladius
edit- Meaning "Sword of the Spirit" and used with the symbol for the Apostle Paul. The Apostle Paul has the reputation of being the Apostle to the Gentiles (non-jews). Paul ministered at Antioch, which is recorded as the first Church of the Gentiles. And, the term Christian was recorded as first used at Antioch. (Acts 11:26)
According the the Ephesians 6:10-18 the Spirits Sword (Spiritus Gladius) is the Word of God.
Denomination
editMy current affiliation is Lutheran (ELCA). However, my life includes having had membership in the following denminations as well: Methodist , Baptist (1st Baptist, 2nd Baptist, Central Baptist, & Independent Baptist) , and the Reformed Episcopal Church.
I have visited the Church of Christ for the A cappella experience & attended chaplain services while in the military. I have visted several other independent churches. In general, all the experiences have been spiritually enriching.
Question & Quest
editAcross the myriads of denominations & bible versions there must be truth somewhere. Which bible verison & which denomination is most correct? Ultimately, the individual Christian will have to discern that for himself/herself and the multitudes may turn to Wikipedia for objective, unbiased information. It is my goal to use my experiences & knowledge to contribute to the Wikipedia project. By researching the material I contribute, I will advance my own quest for Christian truths & leave behind beneficial information for whom ever reads it.
