New Here − About me
I have been using and loving Wikipedia for several years now, but haven't gotten a user account until just recently. So for now I have no experience editing articles or adding information or anything, but I do hope to change that.
I am a sophomore college student in the northeastern United States majoring in plant science and minoring in linguistics. Others of my main interests include the German language, biology in general, philology and diachronic linguistics, and computer science, though don't take any of those interests as necessarily indicating expertise. More minor interests include Christian theology; sewing, knitting, weaving, etc. and leathercrafting (as heritage arts); and cooking.
I work in the Liberty Hyde Bailey Hortorium Herbarium at Cornell University accessioning and photographing the specimens into an electronic database. I deal with specimens of completely varying taxa and locations of origin, and taxonomy is one of my favorite areas of botany.
