A dynamic and versatile virtuoso in many genres of music, Girishh Gopalakrishnan is a contemporary composer with a truly global perspective and outlook. With a wide critical acclaim in the international music scene, Girishh evokes a sense of passion and brilliance through his music.

Girishh's musical journey began as a Carnatic Vocalist, under the Legendary Lalgudi G. Jayaraman, at the tender age of 8. This journey continued on for the next 14 years, which helped him groom his vocal skills and creativity under the watchful shadow of a true master.

Girishh then went to the UK to study his Masters in music composition and production. During his stint in the UK, Girishh was involved in many contemporary dance, theatre and musical productions, including original scores for Savtri(2009) and Universal Mother(2011), film score commissions including, It's All Happening (2009) and SOS(2009).

Girishh's projects with major orchestras in the UK, began with The National South Asian Orchestras of Great Britain (Samyo and Tarang). As the Associate Conductor of Samyo and Tarang, Girishh has collaborated with the likes of Eugene Skeef, Rowland Sutherland and James Baralett. In March 2010, Girishh became the youngest Indian to conduct an orchestra at the prestigious South Bank Centre, London. His ability to combine contemporary classical influences with the Indian classical orchestral medium has illustrated his gift of adaptability.

Girishh is currently working on feature films in India, theatre productions in the UK and is writing new material for his personal album due to be released soon.
