editIn 2014, Ken Barker, one of the RCMP officers who responded to the attack, died by suicide.[1] Barker, who had retired from the organization a month before his death, had been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and responded poorly to news of Li's unsupervised outings.[2]
