I have been a university-level geoscience educator since 1988, and am currently a tenured full professor at a research university. I teach undergraduate and graduate students, and conduct various geoscience research projects. Sadly, my only language proficiency is English, although I have some Spanish knowledge. My primary expertise and interest with respect to Wikipedia contributions involve: (1) general topics in physical geology (2) plate kinematics/tectonics (3) structural geology, especially active faulting (4) geodesy, especially GPS geodesy and crustal strain (5) geological aspects of seismology, including the location of faults using focal mechanism solutions (6) geoscience education (7) geoethics (8) landslides and debris flows I am also particularly interested in definitions of basic/fundamental geoscience terms that are correct and understandable by typical undergraduate students, and with the correct pronunciation of those terms. Clear use of language is important in the sciences. http://CroninProjects.org/Vince/Intro/
