Bacha Khan is a citizen of Pakistan who was held in extrajudicial detention in the United States's Guantanamo Bay detention camps, in Cuba.[1] His Guantanamo Internee Security Number is 529.
According to the Department of Defense's consolidated list of captives' departure dates he was repatriated to Pakistan on 17 September 2004.[2]
Medical records

On 16 March 2007 the Department of Defense published records of the captives' height and weight fluctuations.[3] Joint Task Force Guantanamo medical staff recorded his height as 71 inches. Joint Task Force Guantanamo Guantanamo medical staff recorded his weight 23 times during his stay. Joint Task Force Guantanamo Guantanamo medical staff recorded his weight in October 2004 -- even though he had been returned to Afghanistan the previous month.
Guantanamo Detainee Assessment briefs via WikiLeaks
editIn April 2011 the whistleblower organization WikiLeaks published formerly secret Guantanamo Detainee Assessment Briefs prepared by Joint Task Force Guantanamo.[4] Bacha's recommendations was 2 pages long. It was dated September 13, 2003, and was signed by camp commandant Geoffrey D. Miller. Khan's assessment repeats his story that he had traveled to Afghanistan prior to the war, and had been delayed when the war caused the border to be closed. Joint Task Force Guantanamo analysts didn't believe his account, characterized him as being deceptive.
