InvestiRE is an independent real estate asset management firm with approximately €7 billion in assets under management as of June 2016. The company is the result of the merger of three real estate asset management companies: Investire Immobiliare SGR, Polaris Real Estate SGR and Beni Stabili Gestioni SGR. Shareholding Structure

The main shareholders of the companies are Beni Stabili, the listed owner of the former Beni Stabili Gestioni SGR, Banca Finnat, Fondazione Cariplo, Italian surveyors’ pension scheme CIPAG and Fondazione Cassa di dei Risparmi di Forlì. ^[5]

Asset Management Strategies

The company is specialized in the following asset management strategies:

Long Term

Focus on core investments, mainly in office and residential market, dedicated to institutional long term investors. In particular InvestiRE manages since 2004 the FIP fund composed by government occupied buildings. FIP has been the first real estate investment fund promoted by the Republic of Italy in the field of a wider real estate valorisation programme carried out by the MEF Ministero Economia e Finanze through the contribution of €3.3 billion properties to the fund. ^[6] In 2015, as part of a portfolio rotation strategy, InvestiRE has sold a number of assets in Italy to primary international real estate investors. ^[7] ^[8] ^[9]

Specialistic Markets

Refurbishment and repositioning of buildings, turnaround of portfolios as a result of an active valorisation process, managing integrated projects in non-traditional market segments (distressed assets, retail, student accommodation, leisure, nursing homes). ^[10] ^[11]

Developement & Social Housing

InvestiRE has a unique focus among Italian asset managers on the real estate development and construction process. In particular, following the merger, InvestiRE became the largest operator in the social housing sector in Italy, having completed numerous projects in the social housing sector, developing new sites or reconverting historical buildings. InvestiRE's notable development projects include: Cenni di Cambiamento , the largest residential project in Europe built with a wood structure ^[12], and Cascina Merlata which served as the Expo Village during Expo 2015 ^[13] ^[14] ^[15] ^[16] ^[17]
