Orion

Orion edit

Orion (Greek: The Great Hunter)[1] is a constellation that can be seen from the northern and southern hemispheres, usually throughout the year. It is perhaps the most visible and recognizable constellation in the night sky due to its distinct row of stars that form the hunter's belt. It was first recorded by the ancient Greeks who believed he was one of the greatest hunters who ever lived.

Orion's prominent 'belt' can be clearly seen from Earth, and makes Orion one of the easiest constellations to spot.
