Neva Aymar was born in Pike, New York on April 19 in either 1885, 1886, or 1889,[1] reportedly in the dressing room of a theater.[2] Her mother, Grace Aymar (nee Harrington), was an acrobatic horse rider in the Walter L. Main circus in the 1880s and her father, W. Fred Aymar, was a circus clown and performer.[3] Her parents were distant cousins and her mother toured the mid-western and western United States under the stage name Clarisse Corbet.[2]

Neva Aymar O'Connor died on February 1, 1932 from complications of tuberculosis, which she reportedly contracted during the first World War.[4] She was buried at Maple Grove Cemetery in Queens on February 4.[4]
