Robert Daza Guevara, born on July 6th 1964, is a Colombian agricultural activists that has advocated for the rights of the "Colombian farmers of the regions of Nariño, Colombia.[1] Educated in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Nariño.

Biography
editRobert Daza was born in Rosario, Colombia in the department of Nariño. Growing up in a rural town away from the city, Robert got a passion early on in his life for the natural beauty and resources that were abundant in the State of Nariño. His passion for the environment also sparked a passion for social reform and community activism.
Leadership in Activism
editRobert has been at the forefront of Colombia's environmental and rural communities rights for decades beginning in the early 90s and continue until this present day. He has lead a coalition farmers who's lands have been affected by Colombias long lasting civil war with rebel groups in the areas.Furthermore, Robert has traveled the world representing these farmers in conventions in the civil rights of these farmers and their communities.
Education
editRobert Daza earned his agricultural degree from the University of Nariño in Pasto, Colombia on March 29, 2003. Robert wanted to pursue work in social reform and went on to get a license on environmental education and community development which he obtained from the University of Santo Tomas in Bogota D.C. no April 4, 2003.
Current Situation
editRecently Robert Daza was taken away from his daughter's apartment in Pasto, Colombia by the police exercising a search warrant. Robert Daza has been framed due to his political views and his organization of countless events in support of the poorest of Colombian citizens. His accusers have fabricated a story saying Robert is an active member of a radical far left group called the ELN or the National Liberation Army. This ridiculous and arbitrarily accusations have no basis or evidence. As of today, Robert Daza has been detained and is going through a hearing in which the judicial system is inadequate. The judge is using absolute power and allowing all the fabricated evidence to be presented and used against Robert Daza.We urge people to read these references and translate the articles into English and help spread the word of this blatant abuse of power from the Colombian Government.
