I joined Wikipedia in April 2013 as Interim President of Chess Journalists of America (link is in the next section below) with the intention of putting together a team of chess journalists to strengthen the accuracy and completeness of articles about American chess personalities and, where applicable, to add information concerning the notable journalistic achievements by our members and others in the chess community. Because of my schedule (I moved from Ithaca NY to Meridian ID to Lexington KY within a short period of time), I decided to be an observer for the first year to get a feel for how the Wikipedia process works. I was elected President of CJA (removing the Interim) at the annual meeting in Madison, WI in August 2013 for a 2-year term. I have access to back issues of The Chess Journalist, Chess Life, Chess Horizons and Northwest Chess. All are good secondary sources.
In November 2013, I visited the library at the U.S. Federation to research some history for the Chess Hall of Fame in St. Louis. While there I found the library to be in tact and accessible. (http://www.twchesssafari.blogspot.com/2013/11/my-key-to-city-of-crossville-still-fits.html) This, and the White Collection at Cleveland Public Library, the Princeton University Library and the SPICE Program Library at Webster University, will be my main hard copy resources. What I need now is help learning how to place scanned pages in a location on the Internet that can be linked from Wikipedia. <---suggestions welcome.
I am also actively working on projects listed here Wikipedia:WikiProject Chess. Some of the best online secondary references, in my opinion, are http://www.theweekinchess.com/html/ and http://www.chessmail.com/research/ and http://www.chessarch.com/excavations/excavations.php.

Two years and 19 operations later, his running career ended, he was finally released from the hospital. FN was elected to the Bentley College (now Bentley University) Athletic Hall of Fame in 1991 primarily for his accomplishment as the youngest (at the time) American runner to complete an official full 26.2 marathon in less than 3 hours at the Atlantic City Marathon in October 1966 (age 18 yrs. 1 month) - certified, at the time, by H.Browning Ross of Long Distance Log and Nat Cirulnik in his Marathon Guide published by Road Runners Club of America.
FN is managing Editor of Journal of Chess Research (a new publication: first issue scheduled for Summer 2014), Founding President of International Society for Chess Research, former Executive Director of the United States Chess Federation and former President of the US. Chess Trust.
FN remains on the adjunct faculty of Cornell University, where he served as Executive-in-residence in the Sloan Graduate Program in Health Administration from 2011 to 2013 and lives in Lexington, KY, with his wife, Natasha.
