Frank Feather is an international business futurist and strategist, author, public speaker, and seminar leader.

He coined the now well-known phrase "Thinking Globally, Acting Locally" in 1979. And in 1980 he organized and chaired the First Global Conference on the Future under that theme. Held in Toronto, Canada, this is still the largest international conference on the future ever held, with more than 6,000 attendees and more than 1,000 speakers over five days.

Born in Yorkshire, England, in 1943, Feather moved to Canada in 1968. Initially pursuing a banking career, he rose to executive positions in both domestic and international banking before launching his own strategy consulting business in 1981. He is host of the Future-Trends.com website [1] .

Among his many clients, he has been a Special Advisor to the Government of China continuously since 1984. Advising China on economic modernization and market reforms, he is credited with influencing many of the changes which have taken place in China's economy since that time.

Frank Feather is married to Tammie Tan, a native of Shanghai, and they have two daughters adopted from Qichun in Hubei Province, China.
