I concentrate on designing enterprise software - looking at what makes a good design and what practices are needed to come up with good design both in term of usability and in term of architecture. I've been an expert in object-oriented technology, refactoring, patterns, agile methodologies, domain modeling, the Unified Modeling Language (UML), and Extreme Programming since 10 years being speaker at several conferences.

I became an independent consultant in 1996 while studying at the University, and than founded different companies until joining in 2002 at mondora spa: a cutting edge system delivery and consulting firm.

I live in Berbenno, a pleasant suburb in Valtellina (Italy) with my wife Lucia, and we like to get out-of-doors in our spare time. Summer finds us cycling around Valtellina, climbing and hiking wherever we can get to. Winter finds us ski mountaineering on some mountain right here. I was born in Sondrio, Italy and lived at Imola (IT) for some time. I enjoy living between Swiss and Italy, and I enjoy traveling.
