William "Billy" Loomis is a fictional character in the Scream franchise. Billy appears in Scream (1996) as the boyfriend of Sidney Prescott and the best friend of Stu Macher. Portrayed by Skeet Ulrich, Billy is a charismatic teen with a love for film, especially horror. Billy is one of the main antagonists of the film, serving as one of the two Ghostface killers, along with his accomplice Stu.
He appears in Scream 5 as a ghost. He is revealed to be the father of Sam Carpenter.

Ulrich was cast as Billy Loomis. He was attracted to the role as the character was not written as a typical "boy-next-door" archetype.[1]
Barrera shot all the scenes where Sam and Billy are together alone. "Because of COVID, Skeet [Ulrich] didn’t come until the very end of the shoot. He was there for a couple days, and we shot all of his stuff".[2]
Reception edit
Steven Thrash of Entertainment Weekly named Billy as "one of the most intriguing" characters to take on the Ghostface identity.[1]
